A Cantaloupe seed wireless device is placed into multiple vending machines. There it harvests data from the DEX serial port of the machine. It then sends its information wirelessly to the cellular hub using its antenna.

Receiving DEX data from multiple machines, the hub is responsible for relaying all the information it receives from the machines to Cantaloupe Systems home base. Using an array of cellular technologies to provide maximum coverage, the information is sent via cellular signals.

Once the data has been transmitted to Cantaloupe headquarters, the information is then encrypted and stored in robust SQL databases. You are then able to access any current or historical information. A wealth of tools is at your fingertips.
