John Barsanti and James English Join Cantaloupe Systems

Cantaloupe Systems is pleased to announce that John Barsanti, formerly president of Crane Merchandising Systems, and James English, formerly General Manager of Vending, Masterfoods USA, are joining Cantaloupe Systems as members of its Advisory Committee.

Cantaloupe’s Advisory Committee is comprised of interested individuals with diverse backgrounds and industry experience.  Its purpose is to offer ideas and guidance to management and provide a different perspective during the decision making process.

“The addition of these two vending industry veterans to our team is a major step forward in ensuring that Cantaloupe’s Seed Wireless Solution addresses all the needs of the vending operator.”   Said Mandeep Arora, Cantaloupe’s CEO.  “Both John and Jim have been involved in the vending industry in various capacities for many years.  Their input and advice will be invaluable in establishing Seed as an integral part of the vending industry’s future of smart wireless machine monitoring and merchandising.”

Jim English related that, “To be successful, vendors must drive efficiencies in all aspects of their business.  Cantaloupe’s solution is unique in that it allow an operator to innovate multiple dimensions of the business – cash, route and inventory – simultaneously.  This provides a compelling payback to operators of all sizes and represents the future of integrated solutions in many retail channels.  I’m excited about the Cantaloupe concept and impressed with the company’s management and staff.  I’m looking forward to working with them to help promote this cutting edge technology throughout the vending industry.”

And John Barsanti had this to say, “I’ve always believed in working directly with operators to find ways to improve their profitability.  My experience in the industry taught me that it was staying focused on providing the best value for the operator in what we had to offer that helped to achieve that goal.  Cantaloupe Systems’ technology is the best in class.  Cantaloupe is dedicated to developing systems that meet operators’ needs and providing the best value for the service.  The Seed platform has a proven record of improving operator ROA.  As an advisor, I hope to be able to contribute to Cantaloupe’s continued success.”
